Welcome from the Principals
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to Grandview Elementary School. We are proud of our dedicated, experienced staff and enthusiastic learners! As demands and complexities in education increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to ensure that our children reach their full potential. We believe that all of us – educators, parents and community members – must work together as a scholastic family to ensure success for all of our students.
As our mission states, “Grandview staff, in a team effort with parents and our community, provides a safe, positive, caring environment while meeting each student’s individual academic, social, and behavioral needs. Our mission is to provide students with the skills and confidence to build a solid educational foundation so they can be successful at whatever they choose to do in life.”
With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant in Grandview. Whether you are a PAL (Parents Assisting Learning), a member of the PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization), Homeroom Helper, CARE Reader (Community Assists Reading Education), or Title I Parent Advisory Council member, we encourage you to be involved! Research clearly demonstrates that parent/guardian participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.
We will keep you informed of all of the wonderful activities taking place in school.
Up-to-date and important information will be sent to you through your child’s school folder, the school notify system, and will also appear on our school’s website. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, grade level counselor, or one of us. We are excited to have the privilege of working with your son or daughter. Our school is a special place because of our teachers, staff, students, and all of you!
Sincerely,
Milissa McLain
