C.A.R.E. Volunteer Program

(Community Assists Reading Education)

A Title I Schoolwide Program

Do you enjoy reading or listening to young children read?

Consider volunteering your time with our

 Grandview Elementary students.

The C.A.R.E. reading program is a rewarding volunteer opportunity for parents/guardians, grandparents, and community members to promote student literacy.  Volunteers spend approximately 30 minutes per week listening to and/or reading with children at Grandview Elementary School.  Our students enjoy showcasing and sharing their reading abilities with our special C.A.R.E. reader volunteers.  Our volunteers equally enjoy spending quality time with our students.

If you are interested in becoming a C.A.R.E. volunteer, inquire an interest with your child’s homeroom teacher or contact the C.A.R.E. volunteer program director below.  All C.A.R.E. volunteers must complete appropriate clearances found on the district website. Clearances must be submitted to the administration office prior to volunteering.  A training session is required for all new C.A.R.E. volunteers.
